Sara Duterte Claims Complaint Against Pulong as 'Political Attack' by BBM Admin

 

Vice President Sara Duterte claims that the complaint against her brother, Davao City First District Representative Paolo "Pulong" Duterte, is a mere smear campaign by the current administration. The complaint, filed by Kristone John Patria, alleges physical injuries and grave threats.

According to the Vice President, the timing of the complaint is suspicious. She points to the administration's halt of the ₱20 per kilo rice initiative on May 1st, with the complaint against her brother surfacing on May 2nd. She believes this indicates a pattern of the administration attacking political opponents to distract from national issues.

Congressman Pulong Duterte is reportedly seeking support for their father, former President Rodrigo Duterte. The PNP has denied releasing any CCTV footage or the complainant's affidavit related to the incident. They state they respect the legal process. Malacañang has yet to respond, and their reaction is awaited.
